david 934de74bb0 Check string bounds looking for terminating ']'. 
It was possible to trigger an out-of-bounds read by giving a port
specification with '[' but not ']'.

We use this same approach for Zemap. Hopefully this doesn't cause problems. There were the dependencies before this change:
